Sure, it's not great on an Android tablet, even less on a phone. But works better than iTunes for Windows on PCs.

And most people still use the defaults. Even Apple Maps, which is worse than Google's on most places, has more users on iOS than Google Maps. Lots of people use Spotify instead of Apple Music, it's true, but only few hard users change for Google Photos.

And it's not a bad thing for iOS, I think. On Windows Phone you can have Microsoft services, period. On Android you can have Google + MS. Only on iOS you can mix MS, Google and Apple — also remember that there are lots of startups/indie devs still going "iOS first".
