Nice topic and references, Benjamin. Thanks for the writing.

Modern society teaches us to look for the inner will outside, paradoxically acquiring self truth canned and sold by others.

I’d like to share a technique I came up with when my mind was miles away from my inner will, that it couldn’t even imagine what could it be to feel will. I called the technique ‘short term will awareness’.

I’d sit on a chair, get rid of any kind of desire, ambition or influence from my beliefs and stay there until I felt something I’d like to do for the next 5 minutes, as long that feeling felt real, a truthful will of something I’d really wanned to do, something that would make me feel fulfilled.

The first thing I felt like doing was to play with my cat, and so I did. In other times I’d wouldn’t permit myself spending time with my cat since I had to deliver this and finish that, or I’d think it would be waste of time to enjoy nature, and bla bla bla.

Then I repeat the process every time I don’t know what I want to do. Currently I fell secure to take longer term compromises with things I want to do, secure that it is my will that want it and not acquired beliefs. Using the technique I did learn how it works the simple task of listening to my self, and living by it.

Peace of mind and self knowledge has greatly increased since then.
Now I know what it is to be happy.
