Thanks, Anastasia! It’s weird. I used to use quotes all the time, however, in this story (and in my novel that’s coming out next year), it doesn’t feel right. It’s a stylistic choice that’s risky but one I feel works in the context of the story. I’m so delighted the piece resonated with you.
