Phoenix, AZ Resistance Awakening

Yesterdays anti Trump rally was a gift. A shift in perspective. An awakening.
Our people, our nation, our Earth are all dragging through turmoil sprouted by prejudice ignorance. How far are we going to let this go? How many people have to die? How many countries do we have to exploit? How many more genocides are we going to have to fund? How many families are we going to separate due to deportations? How controlling will we allow our media to become? How forceful will we allow our police to get? How much are we going to withstand before we take back our land, our love, our univision? Have we had enough? We’ve heard it time and time again..
Yesterday, I started my journey towards the rally at Tonatierra, a local/ global indigenous community. I thank the creator for leading me there. I was able to smudge, say a little prayer, sing a song, and bask in the positive, loving vibrations of the indigenous souls of this land. They said something that really hit home.
"This is a spiritual quest."
What came to mind was my own spiritual journey. How one must hit rock bottom, forget everything we thought we knew, rewire our brain patterns to match the heart, demolish old habits, shed our skin and let our entities breathe in order to learn, heal, and evolve into a skin that better suits us.

That’s what we need to do as a people. We need to look deep within ourselves first and foremost. And be aware, please do not confuse this for being about you personally. Remember we are all one. I believe if we all find our truest, purest selves we will evolve as a species and break this cycle guided by the righteous mental patterns of one group of twisted people. So if I ask anything from each one of you, it is to look within and put yourself in the shoes of the black community, the Muslim community, the Mexican community, the Trans community, the gay community, the Native American and indigenous communities, the water protectors, the feminists, the dreamers. See yourself through their eyes, wearing their skin, receiving those strange glares. Imagine trying to achieve an accomplishment, to create some successes and as the days come and go so do your privileges. What confuses you the most is watching your peers utilize the privilege they have while you now have none.

Success plays such a grand part of the american dream that we feel if we do not walk the path of classism it means we are not living up to anything. So take the time to shed all societal expectations. Become familiar with the you that would exist if we never had a structured society. If there was never anything implemented on us from infanthood would we still think the same thoughts? Well of course not, but my point is that we’ve allowed our government leaders to rob us of our true freedom for generations. In our harsh reality, none of us are truly free to live how we’d like because there are material and societal aspects holding us in place. It’s time to shake those chains. Loosen them up for we’ve let them close too tight on our wrists, ankles, and neck. Can you feel us suffocating under them?

Reach down so deep that you find your roots. Now grab them and ask them to lead the way. Our mere existence is a resistance to the corrupt system we abide by. So imagine our brilliance, our resilience on a united conscious level.
Thank you for reading.
Much love to you all.
