Meet our Community Advisory Body!

--

If you’ve been following the development of the Feminist Leadership Hub since the conceptualisation phase in 2022 (maybe you even participated?) until now, you’ll know that in addition to the central topic of Feminist Leadership, we’re also very interested in the question of Feminist Governance.

That’s why last year, we put together a steering committee to support us in thinking through what governance of the Hub could look like from a feminist approach. Thanks to their collaborative work, we have a foundation from which to continue our exploration.

At the same time, the Hub is young! As we write this, it’s still in its pilot phase — though that will change when we launch publicly in the coming weeks. In the spirit of Feminist Leadership, we wanted to remain agile, light on our feet, and open to experimentation. So rather than burden this community and process with an elaborate governance structure while it’s still beginning to blossom, we decided to simply try something out.

That “something” is our first-ever Community Advisory Body. Unlike the Steering Committee, only members of the Hub were eligible to apply. With this group of people, we are diving right into testing what community representation and participation in the Hub’s leadership will look like.

The Community Advisory Body will not only join monthly meetings with One Future Collective and FAIR SHARE, as well as host events for the community between now and November, but they will also collectively produce a resource on Feminist Governance. The format and content are still totally TBD — by them! — and we’re just as excited to see the final result as you are.

So with no further ado, it’s our pleasure to introduce the members of the Community Advisory Body.
