Calories are Crazy!
Firstly, I’d like to share the misconception of calories and food consumption. I counted calories for a long time with CalorieKing.com.au, this was an effective way of understanding how much food I basically need to function. I restricted my calorie intake to lose about .5 kilogram a week, this was ridiculous. I was hungry all the time! I also started Personal Training Sessions to kick start my weight loss. The PT laughed at me and said that I don’t need to count calories, especially the way that I was. He said that I was starving myself.
My body was holding onto the stored body fat because I wasn’t eating enough. This was a break through for me! I felt free. I could eat whenever I was hungry! Whatttttt?
I listened to the PT. I ate the RIGHT foods whenever I was hungry and surely enough with time, regular exercise and drinking plenty of water I started to feel comfortable in my clothes and more confident.
Calories are very important to understand, but never take it too seriously.
Always listen to your body, it knows best.
