Is SEO Dead? I Asked Chat GPT for the Answer
Seriously, Will This be the Final Saga for SEO?
With every update and every release of new technology. Everyone will say the same thing that "SEO is dead". It’s now 2023 and we still don’t feel that SEO is really dead.
In fact, what we see now is that more and more articles are written that are more personal to humans.
Search engines like Google also provide lots of incentives for articles that include elements of personal experience in the article.
So, let’s get to the main point.
There are several things I want to discuss from search vs chat to how we adapt to all this rapid change.
Before we dive in, don’t forget to save this article for future reference. Also, hit subscribe because you might not see me again.
1. Chat vs Search
Of course there is a clear difference between search and chat. In chat, you will get immediate answers while in search you will get a collection of articles that you can choose.
A. The Advantages of Chat AI
Chat AI has real time engagement and also better personalization. Of course it can provide answers to your problems directly without having to scan articles as is usually done when searching on Google.
B. The Disadvantages of AI Chat
I know Chat AI has enormous benefits and I didn’t mention them all. But chat AI is very bad if it doesn’t provide detailed prompts. Even the choice of words is very generic.
So what about writing long articles? There is no doubt, at its current stage, chat AI isn’t yet dependable for producing in depth content.
Humans love to tell and create stories. Would humans be willing to read articles written by robots without personal experience and expertise? This is no longer in line with the most basic human instincts.
Now let’s look at the long form article and generic words article created by Chat GPT:
Which generic words do you believe AI Chat frequently uses? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
2. Chat GPT Responses
I should have asked industry experts directly but I didn’t. I’d better ask directly to the entity we are currently gossiping.
A. Will AI Kill SEO?
See! Good answer from Chat GPT. For now it’s very clear that Chat AI will not kill SEO.
Let’s ask Chat GPT again which we put in the hot seat.
B. What is the Actual Impact of AI to SEO?
I think that’s enough. Content optimization, data analysis and competitive analysis are features that we can take advantage of.
3. Google: The King of the Internet
Currently Google worth is at 1.64 trillion USD. Do you think that a company this big could disappear overnight just because of chat AI?
Google understands that currently there is a lot of trash content that is optimized because it is created by AI.
In the latest Google Content Help update, Google emphasizes that content created by humans for humans will be favored. Unhelpful content will be used as a factor in lowering the website ranking.
Google says it’s a good idea to remove or update content that isn’t helpful. When you blindly create unhelpful AI content. Then you are dead.
The Importance of E-E-A-T
Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness continue to be important factors in search engine rankings.
Chat AI can help with content creation, but it cannot replace the importance of E-E-A-T in SEO.
High quality, well researched, and first hand experience content will always have a place at the heart of search engine rankings.
