“CSS sucks” often means “I don’t understand CSS”, or “I don’t know how to scale it”. It’s part of the disturbing trend to manage anything and everything into giant JS stacks of endless modules and dependencies, bypassing the original intend of these technologies in gross ways, and completely throwing out the window 15 years of browser optimization.
