Many years in the making, the Web’s Quickest Political Quiz is a 5-item survey to identify an American citizen’s unique political ideology. Click the link below to see how you score.

Without giving too much away (so as not to bias the answer), the survey is based on two theories

  1. There are 4 major political ideologies in American politics at any given time. America’s majoritarian voting system (50% + 1) mathematically favors two political parties. Because America also has primary battles within each party, both Democrats and Republicans are split in two, as well.
  2. Political ideology is best measured by organizational values — that is, how a citizen thinks the government should manage a country. The quiz divides citizens on an Individualism-Collectivism spectrum and an Order-Progress spectrum. This makes it easier to identify why different Republican and Democratic factions cooperate on various issues. “Left-Right” politics doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for describing libertarians and other differences between political groups.

The major point of the quiz is to identify what I believe is an emerging Democratic faction out of Silicon Valley. It’s like libertarianism, but a big fan of government. Here’s the novel typology below mapped out. More information to come. It’s a very rough prototype, so I’m just looking for feedback for now.
