I agree with the fact that the internet has changed everything. Everyone all over the world now has access to large amounts of information that was never available before technology. This allows people to stay connected wherever they go. I think that the article is really interesting when it talks about how Napoleon is a static environment where nothing changes, except technology, and to run a social experiment you need a controlled variable (Napoleon) and an independent variable (Technology). Even though the demographics of the city haven’t changed in the past 20 or 30 years, the people there now have access to information that can make it seem like they’re not in a small town in North Dakota.

I think that a lot of people underestimate the impact of technology and what they are capable of doing with it. A lot of people just use technology to work, talk with friends, online shop, etc., when really there is so much more that can be done using the internet. Some people’s entire lives are based solely around technology and they have made careers out of using it. I think people need to have a greater appreciation for the internet and what it can do. Your entire life can be replicated and analyzed through your search history or browser history.
