What is wrong with Daily UI & how to fix it.

It have been two months since I started the Daily UI challenge, but I decided to quit, because it was making me a better decorator rather than a better designer.

Why do I say that? Because, we as designers, have two main objectives, solving a problem or communicating a message.

Making things beautiful comes after those two.

I really like the concept above, but it just don’t seem to solve any problem we have.

If you look at Dribbble for a second, you will see a lot of beautiful portfolios, with lots of beautiful Daily UI prompts. There’s nothing wrong with that.

But, that doesn’t mean that is functional, think about that hot babe that doesn’t have anything in her head. It’s just not cool.

The Solution.

The point is, if we want to be a better designers (I.e: UI), we have to get a better prompt from Daily UI, saying what we have to solve and communicate.

Doing so, we’ll stop wasting time just making things beautiful, but making things really functional.
