Hi Adam, thanks for this nice introduction to ML. By the way, I designed (my patents), coded (of course with the help of a 6 engineer team) and sold the first ever product (tablet + software) enabling real-time cursive handwriting input into word processors, spreadsheets, etc. That was in the 1980’s. A Mac+ (1 Mb !!!) was all that was needed :-) Supervised learning took about 1 h for the average user.
Investors loved the whole thing. But none was science educated. And there were no BA’s in Europe at the time. Well, we got investors, plenty of, who didn’t grok technical, nor commercial, nor marketing, nor financial, nor… :-)
