Verizon is apparently ‘thinking’ about acquiring Yahoo!…and Tim Armstrong (AOL) will lead the talks….

….as reported by Bloomberg’s Scott Moritz and Brian Womack on Monday.

I can just imagine how this call will go down….(cue Adele’s ‘Hello’ music — excuse some minor edits to the lyrics) as Tim Armstrong gets Marissa Mayer on the phone…….

“Hello, it’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet to go over everything…”

“Hello, can you hear me? I’m dreaming about who we used to be. When we were younger and free. I’ve forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet.”

“There’s such a difference between us, a million miles, and I look like a winner by having sold to Verizon.”

“It’s no secret to the both of us that you are running out of time…so let me help you out.”

I could go on, but I think SNL or some other really snarky person will do a much better job of this once all is said and done and the inevitable happens.
