The MoD is a modular health tracking system developed using Arduino. Follow along to learn how it was made, and hopefully motivate you to make your own! The MoD has the following functionalities:

  1. Carbon monoxide monitoring inside cars
  2. Temperature sensors inside a house, that can function with smart home technologies
  3. Tactile sensors in all vehicles, to save battery life while not in use
  4. Heart rate monitoring with pattern recgonition in cars to prevent sleep-driving and fatigue

How it Works

MOD works by acting as a central computing device that is able to receive input from a myriad of sensors. These are linked using bluetooth and then sent to your phone directly for monitoring and reporting.

Modular sensor pack

Each sensor pack is independent and can be used with any MOD unit. As well as each MOD unit can be used with any sensor pack. The modularity of this design allows for quick integration of household, cars and bike sensors into a single central MOD.

Use it Everywhere!

The MOD central unit uses Bluetooth to communicate to the sensor packs and to the mobile app. This allows MOD to be used almost everywhere without the need for a wired connection.
