Some excellent points here on what the Government is doing well, and what isn’t going so well when it comes to hiring (and more importantly keeping) digital talent.

paul pod has done a brilliant thing in Swansea, making the most of untapped digital talent already working within the DVLA, but in completely unrelated jobs.


In the coming weeks I’ll be in Sheffield with Home Office Digital. We’re looking to get involved with Sheffield’s impressive digital community and we’re discussing design internships with people in the area. We already have interns, fast-stream civil servants and apprentice digital staff in London, but as a northerner I need to make sure the Sheffield team is even stronger!
