Mom — I Love You
Yes, Maybe I did break a lamp or two…

You have accomplished so much. In raising me and serving the elderly during your career. I’m so proud to call you my mom. I know it’s been hard since cancer turned all of our lives upside down. Each and everyday that goes by I’m thankful to God that you’re still here with us. You have seen close friends pass and struggle with this terrible disease. I cannot imagine the heartache you feel for those who have to walk the path of chemo and radiation.
I’m writing this letter to let you know how much I love you. I am proud to have a kick ass cancer surviving mother. You give me strength and inspiration to fight my battles. Which will come and go as they tend to do. You have raised a good kid and I’m here to tell you that’s 100% due to you and dad. I will never be able to express my gratitude to you for the sacrifices you have made to make my life what it is today.

The joy that I get from seeing you play with my daughter is priceless. I know you are head over heels in love with her and that is pure happiness for me. I asked God years ago to bring me a child that you would be able to love and enjoy. He answered those prayers and I know how much that means to you.
You have given her so much fun and joy that she’ll never forget. I’m so thrilled that you have a close and wonderful relationship with her. It reminds me of the one I had with my Grandma. Which was also very special to me.
You will never give up. You will always fight. I hope in my life I can muster even an ounce of the courage you have shown this world. Whether it was surviving as a Hispanic women in a small Missouri town or fighting battles with breast cancer — you won’t be denied.
