Problem is that work for even a small feature / bug bounty doesn’t fit the range people are willing to pay. A developer working at $50/hour in a day job, taking 8 hours (a single day’s work) to make a small change would be an opportunity cost of $400. And they’d need to have hundreds of bounties per year to make it worth their while.
