The first of March is the date FFM tokens will be available to anyone interested. We have written much about the tokens before (see here), so here is a quick recap of why you should be interested.
What are FFM tokens?
FFM tokens are a utility token that will be used at Files.fm community-powered library. When you buy FFM tokens, you support our idea of a library available to all and get your own private storage space. If you spend 99 USD, it gives you 1 TB of lifetime storage, which is more than enough for a regular user — and it is available right now on Files.fm, not when the library is opened or when the crowdsale has ended.
Later on, FFM tokens will be used for buying and selling files in the Library. While most of the files in the Library will be free, it will also include copyrighted movies, songs and so on. You will have the chance to pay for these files with FFM tokens — or earn money if you provide valuable content in the library.
Another way to earn FFM tokens will be available only when the library is open to general public: you will earn a small amount of tokens every time you help with cleaning up and sorting the files.
Right now, with one payment, you can secure your cloud storage needs for the next decades, support the library idea, and buy tokens for your future needs in the Library.
Why now?
We are starting the crowdsale on 1 March 2019. When you invest in the project, you will get not only some storage space but also the chance to take your first steps in the world of crypto and blockchain. Later on FFM tokens will be listed in cryptocurrency exchanges, so you will be able to freely sell and buy tokens as needed.
More importantly, this is a chance to be the first in the Library. It is a chance to decide what is going to be available. It is a chance to build the library that you would like to use.
We believe that people around us need a place to share their files both publicly and privately, and Files.fm community-powered Library is our chance to provide this place. We are certain there are like-minded people around us.
What is the library idea?
Files.fm community-powered Library is a project with the aim to provide each Internet user with freely available files. We invite you to donate the files you might no longer consider useful — lecture notes, presentations, document templates, videos, songs and so on — to help other people.
