I think The Ringer writers are contractually obligated to protect Ainge after the Cousins trade. Of course he’d look good with the Cs. Problem was, Boston actually had great assets, unlike NOLA, but they did not want to part with any of them. It’s strange. I can see why they wouldn’t give up either of the Nets’ picks for Cousins, but at the same time, they are one player away from seriously contending. Maybe it’s George, who already has shown he can hang with Lebron.
