“In the weeds”:(idiomatic, restaurant slang; of a cook or server, meaning ‘overwhelmed’, ‘in over one’s head’

refers to a person who is completely lost or confused and does not know what they are doing, how to do it or possibly even where they are.

If that doesn’t describe life as a millennial mom with ADHD to a goddamned T!

Trying to sort out all of this nonsense to live the best life, amiright?

I write to explore the place where dinnertime meets parenthood and general chaos and breaks it all down. Realistic expectations, realistic goals, realistic budgets, real life and real people who live those lives– and realistic solutions to real life problems. You *are* a real person, aren’t you? I am a seasoned cook over seventeen years of career experience in cooking, restaurant management, and food service– from sandwich shops and delis, fast food, casual dining, sports bars, and fine dining. These days when I am not blogging I work at a daycare as a lunch lady.

I have a BFA in Theater and I interned as a k-12 teacher during my college days.

It only makes sense that somewhere along the line I would discover a way to combine my three loves– education, cooking, and entertainment– into a single calling. That’s how I became a food blogger!
