So true! There have been many times when, in the midst of or after writing something, it’ll occur to me that another story had a very similar idea. I’ll then start to second-guess whether I should even release the story to the public for fear that people will think I’m ripping the other author off. This is a refreshing reminder that it’s not what you write about, it’s how you write about it.
