Nice article Zachary, and thanks for sharing (the pain).
First, how about writing a business plan. Or at the very least, get the outline of a typical business plan and roughly fill it out. If the objective is to make money, this will force you to think through the investment cost and the anticipated revenue. Then you can create a more well informed strategy for the endeavor. I recently did this for two of my projects. One of them was to open a business, to which I quickly realized I would need substantially more resources. For the other project, I realized launching a proof-of-concept to collect more data would be worthwhile and gain me the additional data needed to really scale the idea properly.
Second, definitely surround yourself with people who will challenge you with real feedback and that will also elevate your game. Imagine surrounding yourself with other successful entrepreneurs — how motivating you’d feel all the time!
Keep it up (and so will I)!
