I started out much the same — in the first computer class they started in high school — all 5 of us! We had 2 Apple II between us and our teacher was also a math teacher. I almost gave up when the first classes were on binary arithmetic — what do you mean 1 + 1 = 10!?!
But I got hooked and could see this was a career that might have a decent future too. Now I am working on AWS cloud setups and still love the geek stuff 😎 Glad you stuck at it too. Seemed to be more women into computing back then too, don’t know when marketing and PR became the defacto female career choice.
