Firefly is more than a cutting-edge modular DEX on a next-generation L2 or the largest Manta-Native DEX on Manta Pacific.

Firefly’s Philosophy is “community-first”.

Through the firefly D.O.C. (Decentralized Ownership Ceremony) airdrop, we aim to identify active users of our DEX to receive our FLY tokens, empowering them as governance members of the future who will actively shape the trajectory of Firefly in our future DAO.

We accomplish by identifying the top Firefly liquidity providers, traders, and Manta DeFi users through a set of competitions on Firefly and providing a generous allocation of tokens to them — knowing they are best suited to be the future leaders of the protocol.

How Does The Firefly DOC Airdrop Work?

Firefly will distribute 30% of its token supply to users of the Firefly DEX via airdrop; the airdrop events will start April 29, 1 PM UTC.

17.5% — Liquidity Provision
2.5% — Traders
5% — Manta DeFi Power-User DOC (rewards for use of Manta Dapps)
5% — “Get out of Jail” DOC (rewards for those leaving endless “Forever Points” airdrops)

There are two seasons. The first is “New Illumination” starting April 29. The second of two seasons is “Under the Sea” which begins on May 29.

About the Four DOC’s

The liquidity provision airdrop is for providing liquidity on to the firefly DEX. More on the Liquidity DOC here.

The trader airdrop is for trading on the firefly DEX. More on the Trader DOC here.

The Manta DeFi Power-User airdrop is for those who have been actively engaged in Manta de-fi dapps such as LayerBank, ShoeBill, and others. There is no action to be taken as it’s based on past activity. More on the Manta DeFi Power-User DOC here.

The “Get out of Jail” airdrop is an incentive for those stuck in endless or undefined proposed airdrops to move their liquidity to firefly. firefly believes in transparency and honest dealings with its community- the airdrop has a defined timetable, clear rules, and stated conversion to project tokens. Invite Codes and Referrals

An Invite Code is required to register your wallet for the Firefly airdrop and participate.(“Participation Code”). Referral codes allow you to receive 1/3rd the $FLY tokens that people you refer earn. (“Referral Code”)

Participation codes are for you. If you need a code to partake in the airdrop, search Twitter for #FireflyCode or join our Discord. On our Discord, DM a Mod and they will send you a participation code.

Referral codes are for your friends. By referring them to our airdrop, you receive the equivalent of 1/3rd of their earnings. As an example, if you refer someone who earns 3,000 $FLY tokens from the airdrop, you will receive 1,000 $FLY tokens for that referral.

If you would like to receive these referral codes with your wallet address as the referrer for the code, join our Discord, submit a ticket and share with us who you’ll be distributing the code to (ie: a telegram group), and how many codes you need.

Of the LP and Trader airdrop (which account for 20% of total supply of Firefly tokens), 25% is set aside for referral rewards (5 Million tokens; 5% of total tokens) and 75% is for performance (15M tokens; 15% of total tokens).

We disallow self-referrals and have active measures to prevent it. Engaging in self-referral (to operate multiple accounts to earn referral rewards on your own LP or trading activity) will result in forfeiting all rewards from the DOC.

DOC Timings

All dates are in 2024, using UTC time. The firefly airdrop lasts from April 29 to Aug 6.

firefly will have the token generation event (TGE) for $FLY before the airdrop ends, unless voted otherwise by the firefly DAO/community.

Season 1: “New Illumination” (starting)

New Illumination is firefly’s first season of the DOC. It lasts from April 29 to May 29.

Starts April 29, 1 PM and lasts one month, ending May 29, 1 PM.

LP DOC: 7.5% of tokens
Trader DOC: 1.25% of tokens
Manta DeFi DOC: 5% of tokens
“Get out of Jail” DOC: 2% of tokens

Season 2: “Under the Sea” (coming soon)

Under the Sea is firefly’s second season of the DOC. It lasts from May 29 to Aug 6.

Starts May 29, 1 PM lasting 30 days (until June 28, 1 PM), followed by a 39 day maintenance period, ending August 6, 1 PM.

LP DOC: 10% of tokens
Trader DOC: 1.25% of tokens
“Get out of Jail” DOC: 3% of tokens

To earn the full amount during “Under the Sea”, LPs must keep maintain their LP position during the initial 30 days and the 39 day maintenance period. If the LP removes their position before the maintenance period is over, they will only get a fraction of the rewards.

During the maintenance period, at present, we’ve decided no liquidity added to Firefly will count for DOC rewards. The last day someone can add liquidity that will count towards the DOC rewards is June 28. (This is subject to change if the community votes otherwise in which case liquidity can be added during the final 39 days as well.)

Whereas the LP, Trader. and “Get out of Jail” DOC are broken into seasons, the 5% Manta airdrop is available to be claimed at the end date of “New Illumination”, May 29.

Points Based System

The Ceremony happens in the following way: we issue points based on your performance in the competitions and for referrals. The points will convert to $FLY tokens after the firefly TGE; the conversion will happen gradually over six months. The TGE will take place before the end of the firefly DOC (Aug 6).

Points are not retroactive. To earn points, a wallet must be registered using an invite code, with points accumulating only after this registration.

Liquidity provided before or on the 29th will qualify for points earning only if an invite code is used during the wallet registration.

For unclaimed DOC allocations will return to the Project Development fund where the tokens will be used at the team’s discretion to further develop Firefly.

Multipliers and Penalties

The following multipliers apply for our liquidity airdrop:

1.5x multiplier for Manta, stManta, vManta, mETH, mBTC, mUSD, USDM, Tia (Celestia)
1.25x multiplier for STONE

Penalties may also apply for improper participation such as self-referral (using multiple wallets and referring yourself so as to earn the referral rewards from your own participation).

Other examples include providing liquidity out-of-range to the trading pair, or any other activity that seeks to “game” the system by increasing airdrop points against the spirit of the DOC.
