What our devs got up to in week one of the FirstBlood Beta.

The weekly dev update is back!

Now that the beta is out of the bag, we can get back to giving you weekly dev updates on our progress. By popular demand, we have decided to separate these posts from our other content so that they are a little easier to find. Stay tuned to the DevUpdate tag to make sure you are always up-to-date.

Our team is working around the clock to build and test the FirstBlood Beta Platform! So with that said, here is what we have been working on since we opened our beta last week.

Bug fixes

Fixed a minor ladder issue

Fixed win % display issue

Fixed tooltip so hides properly in create team modal

Fixed the “how to connect” popup so it is scrollable

Fixed team/party chat bugs

Fixed minor landing page issues

Fixed invitation dialogue responsiveness

Fixed match result link

Fixed user away status bug

Fixed team name fitting in box

Fixed random logouts

Fixed glitch with dead matches. Automatically cancelled after >2.5 hours pass with no result

Fixed the removal of team members. They don’t show up in team preview, now

Additions

Added; More error screens (404, 500, site upgrade)

Added; Only ban unconfirmed users in queue, everyone else is re-queued

Added; Add friends modal responds to clicks on friend name

Added; team invites clear after accepting

Added; Notification of declined invite

Added; Cancel match if users don’t connect in time

Added; Use real team name if queuing with team

Added; Warning, that user must play Dota 2 once before connecting
