Hi, Folks.

We are continuing to research ICO crowd sales based on data from http://icofisher.com/#/

In this article we are going to take a look at serial investors and connections between ICOs.

If you missed the first part, here is the link (https://www.reddit.com/r/ICOAnalysis/comments/7t2xdg/ico_analysis_financial_approach/)

The first question — Do people invest in the same ICO several times? The answer based on our sample — YES. In the table below are the top 10 ICOs with investors who paid several times

Percentage, invested more than once

In all, about 30 percent of investors made more than one payment. All investors in our sample: invested once 241647, more than once 59871

Let’s take a look at the payment size

  • More than the first 59798,
  • less than 0
  • equal to 78

in our sample, the second payment is always bigger than the first

Half of the investors who paid more than once did it in 10 hours. A quarter of them did it in 10 days. If you are running an ICO and somebody makes an investment — don’t let him go away until he makes another investment as least as big as the first. A third of all investors are ready to invest even more than the first withdrawal

Serial investors( Investment in different ICO)

How many people invested in more than one ICO? In our sample, about 15 %. All the investors: only one ICO — 249872 , several — 37163

The most active crowd sales “serial investors” are EOS Bancor Status. Since the beginning of 2018, and not counting EOS — they have been Sether Titanium carVertical.

Serial investors are the index of attention from the side of experienced investors. You can check out how many mutual investors are in the particular project on this page http://icofisher.com/#/ico/59/transactions tab “Chart Common Buyers”

Pay attention to mutual investors from successful ICO

Another way to evaluate how a particular project is bound to other projects is the ICO graph (http://icofisher.com/#/investors/graph)

Connections in that graph are common investors. We showed only the five strongest connections for each node to make this graph more readable. All the connections are weighted by the investments amount.

Let’s take a look at the EOS

It is obvious that EOS and the group of the most successful ICOs from 2017 are closely connected.

Now all the groups are obvious, but hopefully when the ICO market grows and becomes more developed, we will be able to distinguish groups by ICO class or token class (infrastructural ICO, DEX, etc)

In conclusion: before making a valuable investment, evaluate the common investor for the project you are interested in.

Thanks.
