Among Us is on its way to becoming one of the most famous games across the globe. The unique strategic gameplay requires players to survive in a spacecraft, while an imposter tries to sabotage and kill the crew. Each player is differentiated by using colours and this guide tells you what people think about your character colour.

Here are the stereotypes associated with all the colours in the game:

  • Dark Green/Emerald: This green usually gets away with being an imposter, mostly by hanging around with Lime and Yellow and gaining their trust, and later murdering them in cold blood.
  • Blue: If it’s not Red, then it has to be Blue. Blue is specifically the third person to die in every match, either by getting killed by the imposter, or being voted out.
  • Brown: My condolences, Brown. Generally the first player to die or the first to get voted out into the empty darkness of outer space. Sometimes, if not dead, Brown is also the most confused player on the team, but mostly dead.
  • Red: Red is always sus. They may be your best friend in real life, but when one’s playing with Red, you never trust them.
  • Purple: Purple is the wildcard. You’ll either never see Purple coming, or you’ll always feel Purple’s presence because they always snitch on fellow imposter or crew mates.
  • Pink: Pink is always either a girl, or a newbie who never speaks.
  • Cyan: Some Cyan’s love the red button in the game, while others are imposters who quietly watch the crew vote each other out.
  • Light Green: They are the Pros or the Noobs, and nothing in between.
  • Yellow: Yellow’s can be found in groups of two or three, and are the first one’s to vote, without even bothering to ask for a reason.
  • Orange: The ‘button-lover’. They have no purpose in the game but to PRESS, THAT, BUTTON.
  • White: Everyone believes white. They’re always the good guys, and for some unknown reason, they can pin point the imposter at the very beginning of the game.
  • Black: The greatest detective of all time. Keeps a track of who did what tasks and the location of their last known position.

Although colours do not directly provide any advantage to any player over an other, but since players are accustomed to these stereotypes, choosing the right colour can sometimes help you win the game.
