Michael Riezler I actually tried it before, pretty awesome! Sadly, I had to leave it because my code editor couldn’t “talk” with binaries inside the Linux subsystem. Imagine I have NodeJS inside the Linux subsystem, I couldn’t use linting features from my code editor because it couldn’t “talk” with the NodeJS binary. The same applies to PHP. Here someone had the same problem, zero replies:

So now I’m just using Scoop to get a Linux-like package management on Windows.
