Business as Usual -267 Days Until 40

Well, nothing has really changed. I haven’t really done anything to improve my health and fitness. It’s snowing hard here, a good time to outline the next steps.

The next step I’d like to do is draft some action steps for each goal I listed in my previous entry.

Get in a physical form where I like the way I look in a bikini.

  • Bikini bought
  • Camera ready to take progress photos
  • This goal has my other goals as action steps
  • Document my progress on this blog
  • Create calendar event to write entries no matter where I am in my progress. All things, the good, the bad and the ugly

Establish a well-rounded exercise routine

  • Yoga, running, Kayla program
  • Find a yoga class to attend
  • Book myself in my calendar for one session of each yoga, run, strength
  • Increase frequency as I get used to the routine

Learn to eat sensibly

  • pick a set of 10–20 recipes that can be easily made and ideally, batch made to freeze and reheat so I’m not always cooking something new for each meal.
  • Create a calendar of meals for each week as I had when I was on Jenny Craig so that there is a plan and to avoid making other, potentially, unhealthy choices
  • Record food eaten in real time
  • Aim for 20g of protein per meal and 10g of protein per snack
  • Aim for a 1586 calories/day for a 1lb/week weight loss
  • Schedule small indulgences to avoid frustration

Drink more water

  • Use 40 oz water bottle and aim to drink 2 of those a day
  • Establish a reward bundle
  • Just bought another water bottle to have one at home and one at work

Just try a bit harder when it comes to my physical appearance

  • Already started this goal, I have been putting on some SPF 20 tinted primer, concealer, blush and mascara in the mornings
  • Painted my nails- want to have it on until it starts to chip, then take a couple days with bare nails just because I think it’s safer to not always have nails painted. Reapply nail polish at nights after dinner and getting ready for the next day is complete.
  • Create calendar events for things like getting hair done, and other personal maintenance.

So, there they are, my next steps- now to do them.
