That’s true. Record labels are so powerful that they can milk Spotify for big royalty checks, and then pocket most of that money. But indie artists get screwed because they don’t have that kind of bargaining power. The streaming services aren’t entirely at fault; even big label artists get ripped off — by their own publishers. The big labels need to be broken up.
