Celebrities Fashion at the Jingle Ball 2016

The Jingle Ball, produced and created by KIIS-FM, is a concert which takes place annually at venues around southern California. It has occurred every year since 2000. In 2016, it was held on the 2nd of December. Celebrities who performed include Britney Spears, Niall Horan, and Justin Bieber. Major pop stars have always attended the event, which relies on its celebrity status for success. Fashion at the 2016 Jingle Ball was a mixed bag, rounding out the trends of the year with some truly iconic pieces while others seemed to dress only for shock value.

Hair Style

Niall Horan showed up to the concert wearing his signature tousled hair style, gelled back in the front to give a kind of quaff. Marvin Humes went for a more refined, simple style with clean lines for a mature look.

Meghan Trainor and JoJo Fletcher wore their hair in loose curls for a relaxed yet formal look that has come to define 2016 style. Daya chose a more severe look, with a slicked-back high bun highlighting her dramatic eye makeup. Ariana Grande broke from her signature ponytail for another loosely curled look because this is what most of the people look at.

Hair Cut

Shawn Mendes wore his hair long on top, allowing lots of room for styling. Justin Bieber showed off a new, longer style that becomes closer to his former bowl cut. We are beginning to see more relaxed, loose styles coming in terms of men’s haircuts.

Long layers were the major trend to be found at the concert, as they allow for versatile stylings such as curls or updos. This relaxed look is in keeping with the trend of beachy styling that has been going on for the last few years. Bangs at the front are generally kept layered and slightly uneven, not cropped into straight lines as they used to be.

Nail Style

Barbara Palvin was leading the way in terms of stylish nails. Her long, straight nails were done in nude, subtle coloring that blended with her outfit while still giving a refined look. While long acrylics will still be in style, neutral shades of brown and nudes are making a comeback, as is the classic French manicure.

The Jingle Ball 2016 is a great indicator of celebrity style for the year to come, as it shows us what is trending and hot with the biggest stars in the world as this is most important ever.
