What will it take to make your Etsy shop a success?

Lots of things go into Etsy success: good product, tags, good pictures, etc; but the main thing is persistence — plain and simple.

Selling on Etsy is tough. Competition is fierce and the choices customers have are endless.

Sometimes when a customer favorites one of our items they also favorite 100 more that look the same or similar. Now that’s competition!

Yep, selling on Etsy is tough. No way around it. So you need to have the right mindset if you want to succeed.

What is that mindset? An attitude that says you will never give up.

You need to realize that it’s 10X harder then you think it’s going to be, 10x more the work, 10x more pain, 10x more disappointment.

Don’t get discouraged, if and when, it takes longer than you think it should to get where you want to be.

It sucks going days (or weeks, maybe months, when you first start) without sales. It sucks when you see a customer chooses your competitors over you.

You are going to doubt yourself. Don’t! Stick to it. It’s the only way to succeed.

Some days the wind is at your back, somedays it’s in your face. You need to keep moving forward no matter which way the wind is blowing.
