What future for LISK
It could seems weird to question the future of LISK, since it has not been launched yet, but for people in the cryptoworld, there is a common issue for all altcoins. What next when we run out of funds?
The answer is always the same: Community. The strength of Bitcoin is that core developers are not begging for funds. But for the other, that is another story.
So yes ICO managed to aggregate 14,000 bitcoins in funding for the Lisk team and I am sure they will do an awesome job with it. Awesome will last 3 years. Then the fund is gone. Or we reached the level of Bitcoin, or we are dead. This is as simple as this.
In my last article about active delegates, I was mentioning that we have a chance that the other altcoins may never have. Active delegates are openly raising Lisk every 10 seconds…
One idea is to create a fund, some kind of multisignature lisk account where active delegates are deliberately sending part of their forging rewards. Say 20%, since this is a number that have been around. This fund is not touched for 3 years, until the ICO money is exhausted. In 3 years, the fund could raise 20%*4*6*60*24*365*3=7,568,640 LISK. At the valuation in 3 years, that we can decently estimate of a few bucks, we will have some extra fund to cover the price for the grails hunting which is far from acquired.
And so on. Same story in 3 years.
There is also some interesting outcomes. Users will see Lisk as a technology backed by a bunch of mature people (cough bitcoin). We won’t need to have lot’s of effort to communicate, our community will speak for itself!
