Nice article. Thanks for sharing. One question: how is possible that you take a Uber everyday for 1 mile of commuting? Isn’t it better to go walking, by bike or public transport?
I didn’t directly use TypeScript with styled-components but I know someone that did. He had a problem with the typings but that has been already solved last week. Looks like everything is working fine now.
Thanks for your comment Timon. We had a look at Polished but then we noticed that we were only using a small selection of color functions (I think it’s only one or two), so we decided not to add it. Anyway, it’s an awesome toolset that is worth mentioning.
Did your resulting bundle size change after transitioning from CSS modules to styled-components?
— Yes, we added 12kb to the build. On the other hand, we are removing all the CSS files plus we assure that we only have styles that are actually used. We are also splitting the build, so every view has only what’s needed.
What is the point of getting 12 context-rich notifications if you already have been distracted? Isn’t it better to avoid the notifications -and thus, breaking your flow- and check them all at once later?
