Did Apple Just Give Up?

There are times when I think companies start doing design for design’s sake rather than actual usability, and people flock to a brand for the cachet and “prestige” that comes with owning the “name” even if the product is inferior. Apple is turning into such a company. I’m an OS X user; I love the OS, I love the rock-solid stability. But with Ballmer finally out of the way, Microsoft is catching up quickly, and I’m honestly getting more use out of my Acer Chromebook and a Dell Venue 8 Pro Windows 10-based tablet with Active Stylus than I’ve been getting from my Mac. Earlier this year I switched from iOS to Android devices (Samsung Galaxy S5 with SD card memory and a Tab 4 7.0), and haven’t thought of switching back since.
