The strategy reminded me of a story that’s popular in China about an ancient General. The story said that he and his troops had to ferry down a river down through a gorge in enemy territory. They were limited on supplies. So the General made his men make hundreds of strawmen and put them on ships which were rigged to run ahead of the actual manned ships. They only went ahead early in the morning or late in the evening during low light.

When they did get ambushed, the enemy only managed to shoot arrows into the strawmen thus wasting ammo. Once they ran out of arrows, the General would order his men to shoot their arrows at the ambushers. This worked and they managed to kill off their attackers and recoup arrows as the enemy’s arrows were stuck in the strawmen.

Russiagate is such a strawman made for the dems. This anonymous writer is a strawman made for repubs.
