Citation Needed.

If you read what most gun rights organizations cite, you’d know that they’re referring to the original notes on the Bill Of Rights, The Federalist Papers. I really don’t know where you’re getting this post civil war nonsense from.

The notion of registering all guns and the notion of reinterpretation of the Constitution is also a very leftist idea. Why the second amendment is subject to more reinterpretation than the first, fourth, fifth etc. is no mystery. Lots of Left wing politicians are frightened by it. The notion that people could rise up against their government edicts is something they would very much like to curb. Maybe you should have to register yourself as a professional columnist so that if you lie in an article, we can take your job from you. That makes about as much sense as your anathema to the right to keep and bear arms.

Perversely, because the Second Amendment exists, our government is actually more stable than it looks. Leave people alone and they may actually do something to fix the situation they’re in instead of demanding something from Government. It is also a cautionary reminder to politicians that they govern at the behest of the people.

Another point: Who is the biggest threat to the first amendment these days? Leftists. “Free Speech Zones,” “Safe Spaces,” and a tacit nod to those who riot against controversial speakers. If you want to blame Trump for the anti-Constitutional behavior, welcome to the club. There is more than enough blame to go around.

Before the Trump administration, both Democrat and Republican regimes alike have scared the crap out of constitutionalists. Obama, Bush 43, Nixon, LBJ and others have all made a rotten mess of the Constitution because Congress couldn’t get their act together in time to stop the ugliness from happening. The notion of a powerful Federalist government is a Siren call among all government legislators. The longer they hang around in the halls of legislature, the more likely it is that they’ll think that government is always the answer — irrespective of party.

We must curb our legislators from usurping their power by reminding them who is supposed to serve whom. This is not a recent phenomenon. The reason you noticed it is that for the first time in quite a few years, the Democrat Party is actually in pretty sad shape. Congratulations. Now you understand the irate screed that so much Right Wing Radio feeds on.
