It is supposed to be difficult to impeach a sitting president for good reason: He (or she) might have to do some unpopular things. There were many Republicans who chafed under Obama’s presidency. Many thought it would be nice to impeach Obama too. But they didn’t.
Or you can be like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He thought the Nuclear option for Supreme Court Justices was a great idea, and the GOP warned him that some day this would come to haunt the Democrat party. And then the GOP used the option created by Harry Reid. And their cries of injustice are still ringing.
Just remember that what works for one side should also work for the other. You may very well get what you seek. But it might not be what you thought.
