5 Life-Changing Steps to Overcome Low Self-Esteem
Our clients are often incredibly clever, talented individuals. We get to meet genuinely brilliant people but when they first arrive, they are not always living up to their full potential.
In a world that is striving for both personal and professional greatness, it can be easy to look for evidence that says: “I am not good enough”. Something holds you back — stops you from asking questions, suggesting your ideas or confidently making those decisions. Even though you desperately want more for yourself, a little inkling says “you don’t deserve to be successful, you haven’t done/learned/earned enough”.
Sound familiar? Low self-esteem is stopping you from living a life you love.
Someone is standing in the way of your dream job, your loving relationship, your ultimate fulfilment — and that person may just be you. It’s time to make friends with yourself and we’re here to guide you through with compassion.

Let your imagination come out to play!
Studies show the importance of visualising a great future, whether that’s through positive affirmations, guided meditations or childlike day-dreaming. Whenever you get stuck saying “I can’t do this” or “I’ll never be good enough” instead, ask yourself: “What if I could? What would that be like?”
Experience things moving in this empowering direction and allow yourself to dream up a fantastic future for yourself.
We are all human!
We all make mistakes from time to time and the best thing we can do is learn to be at peace with them. Lets use these moments as an opportunity to learn and grow from.
“Identify your problems but give power and energy to your solutions.”
— Tony Robbins
It’s vitally important be your authentic self! Make some time to confidently know what is important to you and be honest! Write down what you want for yourself, your future, your health and learn what your personal mission in life is. Once you have, it is becomes much easier to communicate it with others. It’s time to follow your true North and speak your truth. If not now, then when?
Learn to say “It’s good enough!”
Perfectionism sucks the joy out of things and stops you from fully enjoying the present moment. Learn to be happy with the choices you make! Do your best but remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect, the important thing is that you did them.
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
— Walt Disney
Most importantly, keep an achievement journal.
Allow yourself to accept acknowledgement and praise and give yourself credit when you do your best! At the end of each day make a note of all your positive changes — it’s not a competition, so take pride in climbing your personal Everest. Be sure to reflect and congratulate yourself on your successes.
We have to be with ourselves 24 hours-a-day 7 days-a-week so, it is important to love ourselves. This begins by living authentically and appreciating our own achievements. Let us know which step makes the most difference to you!
