GoDaddy is one of the most popular domain registrar. Never had any issues. Well, except the annoying surge of notifications they send when your domain is expiring — even if it’s months later!
So, I was renewing my domains this weekend and as usual I tried a couple of coupon codes. I tried the usual one I use every year and while I was about to proceed to payment, I noticed the message:
The promo code you entered is expired or inactive.
Ok. fine! But, why’s it highlighted in Green?
When it’s coming from a company that goes to great lengths to improve their conversion rates at each step, it’s hard to believe they would miss this.
This obviously had to be highlighted in orange or red. Instead they choose green. Green which is a signifier for “success”!
Very likely, a good percentage of people will miss the fact that their coupon was not applied and move on to payment. Resulting in GoDaddy doing away with discounts!
@GoDaddy Please make the small change. ☺
