All About Sweet Clean Living - Sweet Clean Living
Fliss from Sweet Clean Living

Hey there people — how rude of me! I’ve realized I’ve not yet introduced myself or Sweet Clean Living properl
y, or what it even means. So let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

I’m Fliss (hi!) — that’s me in the picture above (really!), and me on the right. I created the Sweet Clean Living life…and decided to share it with you.

So What Is Sweet Clean Living?

Before we talk about why, let’s get to the bottom of the whats:

  • Sweet Clean Living
is the name I gave to living a realistically healthy life — it’s a play on ‘Clean Living’(which can mean a lot of things), so I named the idea after the way it made me feel — Sweet. Clean. Alive.
  • Sweet Clean Living is a place for all aspects of healthy living to be discussed. I’ve always felt that when it comes to talking about healthy living, too much emphasis is placed on the fitness and food side of it, while ignoring a huge issue which can make or break the other two — your mental state.
  • Sweet Clean Living is a blend of all the most important aspects of healthy living — fitness, clean eating, excellent mental health — and balance.

As you can see from the site, all of these Sweet Clean Living aspects have had their parts to play in my journey — and I hope they help you too.

What Makes Sweet Clean Living Different to Other Blogs?

I hear you, I really do — there are a million and one other blogs about healthy living and personal development out there. I read quite a few of them, too!

I see Sweet Clean Living as the place where personal development and healthy living meet and combine.

The reason I created Sweet Clean Living was because I wanted to share with you my personal journey — and the end results of what worked and what didn’t. When I was starting out, I found that blogs on similar subjects talked about only one or two parts of the whole journey, such as getting into shape — without focusing on the other parts of the personal development which are equally important.

Sweet Clean Living is all about the interplay of mind and body, and how each strengthen and affect the other.

It’s also about sharing what works. At the beginning of my journey, when I was at my most vulnerable and impatient to get started, I found that a lot of the advice I was reading and trying just didn’t work for me. I’m sure it worked for someone — and great for them — but for me, at my most desperate and low, this kind of stuff only served to dampen my desire to change and grow. If I had let it do that, either you or I would be here reading this! But eventually, through a lot of trial and error, I found what worked — and here I am, bringing it to you to enjoy.

What’s the Point of Sweet Clean Living?

I’m glad you asked — if I had to sum it up in one sentence, it would be ‘to help everyone live their best life easily and quickly and sustain it.’

Because, I know what it’s like to start your clean living and personal development journey. And it’s not easy.

I believe anything is possible, if you’re willing to put in the time and effort and — more importantly — be consistent and stick with it.

Noone is going to see any huge changes in 1 day — there’s a saying in these circles, that in 1 day you’ll do it, in 1 week you’ll feel it, and in 1 month you’ll see it. The same applies here.

A Quick Word on ‘Off-Days’

One other important thing — don’t despair if you have a few off-days, or even if you don’t see the results you are looking for straight away.

Off-days are an inevitable part of this process (hey, we all need a pizza every now and then — I still do!) — and they’re ok to have. In fact, if you didn’t have an off-day every once in a while, I’d be concerned.

From my own experience, off-days may feel like the end of the world (for a time) — you’ve worked so hard to stick to a fitness program, or eat properly, or think a certain way about yourself, and then BOOM — you’ve ruined it all, in one very chocolatey ice-cream.

Well I’m here to tell you that no, you definitely have not.

I began to see off-days (yes, there were quite a few along the way) as little challenges to myself, and an indicator of how far I had come. Yes, I was shoveling down pizza like I’d been starved for 20 years, but it was just because I hadn’t eaten one in 3 weeks. Then 2 months. Then 6. Then a year. Slowly, my off-days became fewer and far between — and I could see my progress by how often I had one.

And you will too.
