Games Workshop, the creator of Warhammer 40,000, has officially inked a deal with Amazon to bring the beloved characters and narratives of the tabletop game to life on the big screen. Henry Cavill, renowned for his portrayal of Superman, joins the project as an executive producer and is set to feature in the production.

Warhammer 40,000, a game that replicates epic battles using meticulously crafted miniature models, has granted Amazon the rights to enlist talent and develop film and television ventures based on the Warhammer universe.

Expressing excitement, Games Workshop stated, “Now comes the fun part: working out all the creative details with our partners and getting the first script written and into production. What Warhammer 40,000 stories should we tell first? Should we kick off with a movie or a TV show? Both!”

The collaboration follows Games Workshop’s successful run during the pandemic, marked by a surge in sales of its intricately designed toy figurines, leading to a rise in company shares.
