I’m going to college to be a teacher next month so this piece has helped open my eyes a little. Just finishing high school, it can be a bit refreshing to see someone actually advocate for less homework & make legitimate points. I’ve felt some of the magic in me die out because I was forcing myself to be a robot that only does homework & studies. I remember one day I didn’t have homework & I didn’t know what to do! I didn’t know what I liked to do for fun anymore. This piece helped me realize that school doesn’t have to be that terrible.
