Viola cornuta, also known as Horned Pansy, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Violaceae family. It has a height of 10–30 cm and a width of 20–30 cm, with a rhizome. Originally from Spain and the Pyrenees, it is now grown in various places around the world and China.
It starts growing at 5℃, with optimal growth temperatures between 10℃-15℃. It has strong cold resistance and can withstand mild frost. In areas south of the Yangtze River Basin in China, it can winter outdoors, but it doesn’t tolerate heat well.
