If you’re like any other internet user, chances are that you have many online accounts and not an easy way to manage their passwords. If you’re like most people, you would probably use the same password across all those websites or worse, write it down on a sticky note and hang it near your computer. But you don’t have to be a part of this bad habit. Be different. Be safe.

Poor Password Management Puts You at Risk

Way too many people manage their passwords in a way that completely compromises their online accounts. Infact, majority of password hacking attempts succeed because the owner’s of those accounts haven’t taken any measures to safeguard their passwords. Jimmy Kimmel has recently did a survey on the Hollywood Boulevard to find out how people really manage their passwords. Check it out:

The problem with this approach to password management is, you’re giving an open invitation to hackers to break into your accounts and get access to your private data.

If one of your accounts gets compromised, then it’s just a matter of time before your other accounts get compromised too. Cyber criminals use sophisticated tools to hack into less secure online websites and get access to all their data, often un-encrypted and easy to steal. If you happen to use the same username/password across other websites like your email or bank account, they will be able to easily perform targeted attacks on your other accounts and get access to those accounts too.

For that reason, we know there is a market need for a password manager that’s simple, secure, intuitive. It should take away all the pain points associated with creating new accounts and logging into existing ones. So, we’ve looked around and tried bunch of commercial password managers available in the market and we’ve realized there isn’t a password manager that we’d be comfortable in using it ourselves, much less recommend it to others.

So, we've built Flowt.

Here’s the sneak peak :

Before we could get started on building Flowt, we’ve noted down list of all the features that are essential in a modern password manager. The next step… build the best password manager out there…

What You Need in a Password Manager

Here’s the top list of features what we wanted to have in a password manager:

  • Works when you need it. Your password manager should always be there when you need it and get out of the way, when you don’t. It should help you generate strong passwords when you create new accounts and provide you ‘one-click’ access when you need to login.
  • Get’s out of the way when you don’t need it. It shouldn’t be intrusive and it shouldn’t take over your screen.
  • Doesn’t log you in without permission. It isn’t safe for it to log you into applications automatically without our your permission.
  • You are in control. You should be in control of the password manager, not the other way around.
  • High security standards. This goes without saying, but we feel we should mention it. Your password manager needs to have highest security standard
  • You are the only one with access. Nobody should be able to access your passwords without your explicit permission. Not hackers, not your friends, not your family. Not even the guys at Flowt.
  • Available on all your devices. It should be available on every device you own. Not just your desktop but your mobile and tablet devices as well.

Passwords are For your Eyes Only

We’ve put in place the ‘Trust No One’ security architecture that’s evaluated by third party security firms and has been certified to be super safe and secure. We constantly invite security researchers to perform ‘penetration tests’ to try and break into Flowt. Suffice it say, we’ve taken all the measures to make sure Flowt is as secure as it can be, and our security model is validated by third party security firms. The only person who’ll be able to encrypt/decrypt your passwords at any given point of time, is you (the user) and only you.

The past few months have been pretty hectic here at Flowt. We have been working round the clock to build an app that makes it super easy to manage your passwords in a safe and secure way.

We’ve created Flowt with an idea that you shouldn’t have to trade the security of your digital identity for ‘ease of use’. The one time you can have the cake and eat it, too.

Flowt Password Manager is easy to use

You should be able to have ‘tough to crack passwords’ and yet ‘be able to log in’ to your apps with ease. Not just your computer but every device you own. We want to make it easy to manage your passwords for your apps. That’s is why we made it easy to create, store and use them on any device at any time.

Flowt gives you a one click access to all your apps. It will work the same whether you want to login to your app on a desktop, tablet or a mobile device.
