MARS MOVEMENTS•••
Mars Square Neptune at 13°
THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Mars in Sagittarius is many things, distracted, curious, insightful, and imploring, but when Mars squares Neptune from Sagittarius, Mars is lethargic.

Yes, the planet of action is rendered inactive.

Imagine the god of war approaching the field of poppies in the Wizard of Oz. Sagittarius is all about the journey, the yellow brick road, and there were points— as there would bound to be points— on this journey where each member began to forget what the fight was for, or misplaced the original intention, or wanted to call it all off and go home.

It was the poppy field that recharged the motley crew; they woke from feelings of despair and discouraged hope to a new way of seeing everything!

Sometimes a recharging is necessary, imperative even.

Whether it be your body, your mind, or your spirit slowing you down, there may be a reason beyond the explainable that you can hear only if you take a break. Only then can you listen.

Something you want or need right now will remain illusive until you take this time... You're also much more easily manipulated or scammed now because your wits are not as sharp.

You're "asleep" whether you're sleeping or not.

The thirteenth degree of both Sagittarius and Pisces relate, strangely, to that of will and vulnerability. This transit may involve reliving some sort of trauma, however symbolic, and needing to pull yourself through, breaking through to the other side, and seeing this journey through to the end, stronger and enlightened. In another sense, this transit could elicit circumstances that are indirectly against you or your intentions, or memories of such an experience are resurfacing. Either way, these energies are the to reinforce your will to carry on and carry through. Mars is the god of courage, and he will persevere... after he surrenders to Neptune's illusions.

Mars was last squaring Neptune from May 7-14th, 2017 and separating from Gemini, a sign Mars doesn't prefer as he really has no business in Gemini, quite frankly, as Gemini prefers conversations of a civilized manner, introspectively, of intellectual curiosities. It was a division between caveman and civilized man. Think back to last May, and ponder over whether Mars was able to conquer anything there...

If so, likely through language.

Was Mars constructive, or destructive?

Now, applying a square to Neptune from Sagittarius— Gemini's opposite— perhaps you're using communication once more to understand the truth of a matter? Likely, more of a philosophical tone. And more appropriately, connecting ways to understand your own personal Truth. These connections may not be something you can understand with thoughts, or with reason, but through feeling, feeling it through. And even still, there may be remnants of mystery...

Take this time, use this time to lay in a metaphorical field of poppies, hahaha, and wake up refreshed next week. Only approach now what is immediately in front of you or you may risk overextended yourself or further exhausting yourself beyond easy repair.

If you use this time wisely, you'll come out the other side of the seemingly illusive fog more awake, recharged, and possibly even a little more enlightened... it's a matter of allowing to accept that you're not always in control, if ever. Maybe it's not doctor's orders, but it's Neptune's, and he'll slow you down whether you cooperate or not.

***Please don't overuse, misuse or abuse alcohol, pharmaceuticals or opiates! Neptune rules all of these things, and when Mars is in Sagittarius, this is Jupiter's reign, and Zeus never knew how to say "no"... So as handy as my Wizard of Oz reference was, there actually is a serious irony to these planetary placements and the degree of ease to which the manifestations could turn very, very shadowy very, very quickly. With Mars and Neptune, always always choose constructive over destructive, lightness over darkness and shadow.
