I am excited to announce the June release of Flutter Gems!
Let’s break down what’s new in this update:
Platform Filters
In the recent Google I/O, it was announced that Flutter 3 is stable on all supported platforms (Android, iOS, web, macOS, Linux & Windows). 🎉
Today, I am happy to announce the addition of platform filters on Flutter Gems. Now, you can easily filter packages based on the supported platform(s).

400+ new packages, 8 new categories
In this release we have added 400+ new packages to Flutter Gems which brings the total package count to 4400+ 🎉.
These packages are spread across 165 categories, and the following 8 new categories have been introduced:
- Tinder revolutionized the dating landscape via a very simple and intuitive UI - Swipe Left for No, Swipe Right for Yes. Now, you can easily add this binary decision making UI to your Flutter app (for dating, e-commerce, voting, etc.) using packages which implement Tinder like Swipe Cards.
- Background Effects, Gradients & Shaders category provides you with some packages that can help you add beautiful live animated background effects, add gradients & can also help you execute shaders to render awesome effects.
- Biometric & Local Authentication category includes packages that can help you access and utilize the local authentication methods available on your device such as Touch ID, Fingerprint, Face ID, PIN, Passcode, or Pattern.
- Packages that can assist you in sending, receiving and listening for incoming SMS.
- Picture-in-picture (PiP) mode allows you to present any widget (video, map, etc.) in a floating window so that you can keep an eye on what you’re watching while interacting within or outside the app.
- Linters help you with static code analysis flagging programming errors, bugs, stylistic errors and suspicious constructs.
- Now, we have a dedicated category to browse packages which can help with Caching or Temporary Storage of images, audio, video, PDF and other files.
- File, Folder & Path Utility packages address all paths and file management needs.
