Which brings me back to PHP. I’ve barely touched PHP for the last 2 or 3 years. My entire career prior to that was very heavy in PHP.

I cannot count the number of recruiters and hiring managers that have visibly scoffed at my mentioning PHP. This is evidence of their ignorance, not mine, but nonetheless it has hurt my chances of getting offers for those positions. Then again, I probably don’t want to work at a place with that sort of technical bigotry.
