I don’t know…should we stop listening to jazz too? Blues?
I’ve been a fan of hip hop for almost thirty years, and of jazz and R&B and blues all my life. I’m not going to apologize for loving it. I feel like music is music, and I’m not hurting anyone by being a fan of Kendrick Lamar. That said, I recognize that the voice of my demographic has been too loud for too long.

I adore the core message here, as it applies to me; As a white dude from Idaho I will never fully appreciate another person’s life experience, specifically the African-American experience. I think that you made that point eloquently and humbly, but I’m going to keep singing.
