Which Law of Attraction Technique is Best?
The law of attraction has three steps:
Ask (step 1)
Manifest (step 2)
Receive (step 3)
Usually, we do step one without knowing. Any time we see something we want or acknowledge something we do not want (let's call it 'contrast'), we consciously or unconsciously have completed step one.
We have asked the Universe for what we desire.
Step two is the Universe's job. After we ask, the Universe provides. Right away, there is no delay. The Universe keeps no secrets and does not believe in delays. So why don't we all have what we desire right away?
Because we're bad at step three, step three is the only step that requires the most work.
So how do we go about achieving step three?
The answer lies in the comprehension that what you feel is what you create.
The Law of Attraction states that your emotions are your vibrations, and vibrations (energy) are what attract events/things/people in your life because they are also made up of vibrations.
So you may have asked the Universe for 10 Million Dollars. Still, unless you genuinely believe it to be possible, you truly believe that you deserve it, and you genuinely believe you are the owner of 10 Million Dollars. Those dollars will be floating around in the Universe, waiting for you to receive them.
There is no shortage of money. There is more than enough money in the world for everyone to live happily. But here we are, always wishing for more. And that's fine;
however, you don’t get to where you want to be from where you are without appreciating your present. Your current situation, no matter how bad, deserves some thanks.
My favourite story is when three years ago, I couldn't find anything in my personal space to be thankful for (other than the big obvious stuff) — of course, I was grateful for my daughter, and I was grateful to have a roof over my head and a car to take me places. Still, fundamental things were missing, which made me depressed. I would sit down to list ten things I was grateful for, and I couldn't get past four.
The First List
So I had to really start observing and listing things like:
I was grateful I woke up early enough when the house was quiet so that I could hear the birds outside.
I listed that the tea I had was very satisfying, and I was grateful.
I was grateful for the time I got to drive my car peacefully.
When I began listing things that brought me peace, I began receiving more instances that brought me similar feelings.
After I listed the ten things I was grateful for, I would read them out loud and say thank you. As soon as I did that, I felt like I was somehow blessing the things/events/people I had listed. That feeling put me in a state of gratitude (which is the best vibration to attract from), at which point I made my second list. The wish list.
The Wish List
This is where you list your most achievable goals and your wildest dreams. There is no limit on this list, but there is a writing technique.
The technique is to make your list "vaguely specific."
What does that mean?
Being vaguely specific means, you talk to the Universe and tell it what you want without restricting it. And if you're thinking this sounds like step one, you are correct.
Step one is asking, which we do all the time. But if you were smart (which you are), you would be careful what you ask for. Therefore, this list is quite essential as well. You consciously ask the Universe for what you want so you can keep track and experiment to see if the Law of Attraction is working for you.
For example, I wanted to own a home. I had all these ideas in my head, but I realized I was restricting the Universe with my specificities. So, I made it simpler:
I wished for a comfortable, conveniently located home that I own and love.
Then it was up to the Universe to find something I would find comfortable, conveniently located and love. And it did. As soon as I began changing my wish list with this new entry, I saw movement in my real estate situation. Within a month, I had bought a home, and even though I was scared at the time, now, nine months later, I can confirm it was a great decision.
Conclusion
To receive your manifestations (step 3), you need to be in a state of gratitude. To master step 3, it is vital to fix your vibrations; the best way to do that is to find something to be thankful for.
How do you make yourself feel good to attract more things that make you feel good?
Answer: Gratitude
If you're new to the Law of Attraction and need a structured way to practice it and master step 3, I have authored and published a guided gratitude journal. It has step-by-step instructions to help you figure this out, after which you can practice without it. Here's a less flowery version. Paperback is only $10 on Amazon.ca but remember to change your country if you're not in Canada.
